Day 5
A very simple one for me because I have been doing the floors each day anyways.
What I did do is pull everything from under the kids Beds, (oh my there was so much stuff under there)
Sat on the floor in the middle of the room and organised it to washing, rubbish, and toy box. (my children's room has very minimal toys in there. They have all their toys in their toy room. Makes a spot for time out so much easier because I just need to take away the small basket of toys they do have and leave them in there for time out)
I also went through the kids draws and took out all the clothes that do not fit them anymore and put them in bags for hand-me-downs.
There is also now a washing basket for them in their room, under their bed was a haven of dirty clothes that were begging to be washed. Now to get them into routine to put their dirty clothes in their basket. Last thing I want is in a few weeks needed to do this task again.
The weekend is a free weekend?
I don't think so, I will be spending spare time cleaning up and following up on previous days, don't let it get away with you because if you do you will most likely need to do the 20 day challenge again. And if its anything like the emotional roller coaster it is for me then Id like to maintain thanks!
Its been so overwhelming, and I have been pushing myself to do it. Its more of a personal thing here, I'm trying to get myself into a good routine, I can be so slack some days and it just gets so on top of me I end up stressed and yelling at the kids.
If I can keep the up-keep going, I can already feel less stressed.
I am waking up in the morning a little more refreshed, and I can walk out into the kitchen and not think "oh my gosh, look at all this mess, I need to clean up today" because I already done it if I could the night before, and there would be washing in the machine ready to be hung out.
I'm finding myself up earlier every day doing housework when I would normally be in bed playing games on my iPhone.
This challenge has been a kick in the arse and helped me realise, hey! Your a mother, you have things you need to do!! its part of my job description right?
Thanks Organised housewife, Im looking forward to the rest of the days challanges!
